Also at this
meeting it was decided to make an application to the British Sub-Aqua club to be accepted as a branch, and
for this branch to be known as The Aberdare Churchmen's
Club branch In March 1974 the Club was given permission
to move its training venue to the newly built
Indoor pool at Aberdare.
Up until this time all training had been done outdoors
In Feb 1976 due to the closure of the Memorial Hall the
club had to take up temporary residence in Blaengwawr
Boy's Club until a more permanent home could be found. The
following month moving time again, this time
to new premises at Duke Street, Aberdare

At the start
of the 1980s the club was expanding and needed more
space, the search was on for new premises again. In
January 1981 the club had the news that its bid for the
lease for the old "Toch H building known as Talbot House
in Godreaman had been successful. The club were on the
move again. By this time the club had now changed its
name to the Cynon Valley Sub Aqua Club after the valley
from which most of its members originate. The club still
occupies these premises and has gone from strength to
strength. There is good camaraderie among the membership
but not to the exclusion of any visitor old or new who
will always find a warm welcome. To see some old
